Step 3 - Selling your course

Selling your course - there are a few ways to sell for a course including recurring payment plans, one-time payments, subscriptions, and different sales delivery methods.

Key Steps

1. Create a recurring payment plan offer

  • Open the course you want to configure.

  • Go to the Offers area and create a new offer.

  • Select Recurring payment plan as the payment type.

  • Enter the payment amount and number of payments.

  • Add a clear price text override so customers understand the total cost and payment schedule.

  • Preview the checkout page to confirm the display is correct.

2. Create a one-time payment offer for the same course

  • Return to the Offers area and create another offer for the same course.

  • Enter a clear title and description so the offer is easy to identify.

  • Connect the offer to the correct course.

  • Select One-time payment as the type.

  • Enter the full price.

  • Leave optional fields blank if they are not needed.

  • Preview the checkout page to confirm the subtotal and amount due now match the intended price.

3. Create a recurring subscription offer

  • Create a new offer for the same course.

  • Include subscription in the title so it is easy to distinguish from other offers.

  • Select the course.

  • Choose Recurring as the payment type.

  • Set the frequency, amount, and number of payments.

  • If the subscription continues until cancellation, leave the number of payments blank.

  • Add a thumbnail if required, then publish and preview the offer.

4. Make offers available in the store or shop area

  • Review the published offers in the Payments or Shop area.

  • For any offer you want visible in the online store, open the offer settings.

  • Enable Include in Online Store.

  • Confirm the offer now appears on the website shop page.

5. Add all payment options to a funnel order form

  • Open the sales funnel and go to the Order Form page.

  • Click Products and select Add Product.

  • Add each of the three payment options:

    • subscription option

    • one-time payment option

    • four-part payment plan option

  • Save after each addition if needed.

  • Edit the order form page and add the Order element.

  • Drag the element into place and save the page.

6. Create separate order form pages when only one option should display

  • Duplicate the order form page for each payment option.

  • Keep only one product on each duplicated page.

  • Create separate pages for:

    • monthly subscription

    • one-time payment

    • four-part payment plan

  • Link each sales page button to the correct order form page.

  • Use this setup when you want a cleaner checkout experience with one payment choice per page.

7. Sell the course directly through the offer link

  • Go back to Courses and Offers.

  • Copy the direct offer link for the payment option you want to sell.

  • Use the link to send customers straight to the checkout page.

  • Add the link to sales page buttons if needed.

  • Use this method when you want a simple checkout flow without funnel customization.

Cautionary Notes

  • Do not confuse offer types: recurring payment plans, one-time payments, and subscriptions must be created as separate offers.

  • Check checkout previews carefully to ensure the pricing, payment frequency, and amount due now display correctly.

  • Leave optional fields blank only when appropriate; confirm they are truly unnecessary before publishing.

  • Direct offer links do not support a confirmation page like a funnel does.

  • If using separate order form pages, make sure each page contains only the intended product to avoid customer confusion.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Use consistent naming conventions in offer titles, such as including the payment type in the title.

  • Reuse the same course connection across all offers to save setup time.

  • Preview each checkout immediately after creating an offer to catch errors early.

  • If you need a simple sales flow, use direct offer links instead of building a full funnel.

  • If you want more control over the customer journey, use separate funnel pages for each payment option.
