Setting Up a Checkout Page for a membership offer

This guide walks you through connecting a paid offer to a checkout page in Alvéya — from creating the offer in the right place, to setting up the order form, confirmation page, and post-purchase automation.

Step 1: Create Your Offer in the Right Place

Before you set up the checkout page itself, you need to create the offer in Alvéya. Where you create it depends on what you are selling:

Offer type

Where to create it

What you'll get

Online course

Courses

A signup link to connect to your funnel order form

Recurring subscription

Products

A product to connect to your funnel order form

Online Course

Go to Courses and create your course there. Once it is set up, Alvéya will provide you with a signup link — this is what you will connect to your funnel order form in the next step.

Recurring Subscription

Go to Products and add your subscription as a product. Set your pricing, billing frequency, and any other details. Once saved, this product will be available to connect to your funnel order form.

💡 Not sure which one applies to you? If your client pays once and gets ongoing access, that is typically a course. If they pay regularly (weekly, monthly, or annually) to maintain access or receive ongoing services, that is a subscription product.

Step 2: Set Up the Funnel Order Form Page

Alvéya's funnel templates include a built-in order form page — you do not need to build the checkout from scratch.

  1. Go to Websites & Funnels and open one of the funnel templates.

  2. If the template includes a sales page before the order form, remove it. You only need the order form page for this setup.

  3. Open the order form page in the editor.

  4. On the right-hand side panel, find the Products section.

  5. Connect the product or course signup you created in Step 1 to this order form page.

💡 You can always add the sales page back in later if you decide you want a full sales funnel. For now, starting with just the order form keeps things simple and gets your offer live faster.

Step 3: Set the Confirmation Page

After a client completes their purchase, they need somewhere to land. This is your confirmation page — it can be a thank you message, instructions for next steps, or a redirect to their course or membership area.

  1. In the funnel builder, look at the steps listed in your funnel sequence.

  2. Set the confirmation page as the next step after the order form page.

  3. Customise the confirmation page content to let your new client know what happens next.

⚠️ Do not skip setting the confirmation page. Without it, clients who complete a purchase will land on a blank or broken page, which creates a poor first impression right at the moment they have just bought from you.

Step 4: Set Up a Post-Purchase Automation

Alvéya has pre-built automation templates to handle what happens after someone buys. You will find these in the Automations section — look for:

  • Post Purchase Workflow — the standard automation for sending a welcome email, granting access, and onboarding a new client after a purchase.

  • Bump Offer Post Purchase Workflow — use this if your checkout includes an order bump (an add-on offer shown at the point of purchase).

Select the template that matches your setup, review the steps inside, and activate it. These templates are a starting point — you can customise the email content, timing, and actions to suit your offer.

💡 Even if you are not ready to build out a full welcome sequence yet, activate the basic Post Purchase Workflow so that at minimum your new client receives a confirmation email straight away.

With your checkout page connected and your post-purchase automation in place, your offer is ready to sell.
