With your blog created and styled, you are ready to write. Each post has three parts: the details that describe it, the content itself, and the settings that control how it appears online. This guide covers the first two — writing and building the post.
Before you start: You will need your blog set up first. If you have not done that yet, follow Add a blog to your website.
Create the post
Open Websites & Funnels from your left-hand menu, select the Blogs tab, and open your blog.
Select Create New Post.
Add your post title — aim for something clear and specific that tells the reader exactly what they will learn.
Add a short description summarising the post in a sentence or two. This appears in post previews and search results.
Upload a cover image. This is the image shown at the top of the post and in your blog listing, so choose something warm and on-brand.
Add your content
The post editor works much like a simple word processor. As you write, you can:
Format text with headings, bold, italics, and lists to keep the post easy to scan.
Insert images to break up longer sections — photos of you or your space feel far more personal than stock imagery.
Embed videos if you would like to include a recorded explanation or demonstration.
Add links to your booking page, services, or other posts.
Make sure you are using the heading 2, Heading 3 etc throughout the blog as this is what search engines read first. The blog title will be tagged as the Heading 1 and best practice is to have only one Heading 1 on each page.
💡 Write the way you speak with clients. Short paragraphs, plain language, and one clear idea per section will always serve your readers better than long, formal writing.
Your first post is taking shape — next, give it a home by setting its author and category.
Next in the playbook: Set up blog authors and categories.
