Schema markup is structured data added behind the scenes on your page — invisible to visitors, but read by search engines and AI tools. It helps Google understand exactly what your page is about, and it's what powers rich results like star ratings, FAQs, and business details showing up directly in search.
It also matters for AI answer engines — tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini use schema to understand and accurately cite your content when someone asks a question your page could answer.
💡 You don't need to understand the technical structure of schema to benefit from it — Alvéya can generate it for you automatically, or with AI assistance.
Option 1: Let Alvéya generate it automatically on publish
This is the easiest option — once switched on, any page you publish without existing schema markup automatically gets structured data added in the background, with no extra steps and no delay to publishing.
Go to Websites & Funnels, and select the Funnels, Websites or Webinars tab.
Click into the website you are editing, or the three-dot menu beside it, and choose Edit.
Open the Settings tab.
Turn on Auto-generate schema under the SEO & AEO section.
Click Save.
New websites and funnels have this switched on by default. If yours was set up a while ago, it will be switched off until you turn it on.
⚠️ Auto-generation only adds schema to pages that don't already have any. It will never overwrite or change schema you've already set up.
Option 2: Generate schema with AI, page by page
If you want more control over an individual page — or you want to review and refine the schema yourself — you can generate it with AI directly in the page editor.
Before you start: make sure the page already has content on it. Schema Markup AI reads your existing content to work out the best schema — it can't generate anything for an empty page.
Go to Websites & Funnels, then Funnels or Websites, and open the page you want to edit.
Click SEO & AI search optimisation.
Click Schema Markup, then + New Schema, then Create with AI.
Describe what you'd like in the prompt box and click Send Message.
Review the generated schema, then click Validate and Save.
Publish the page to make the schema live.
Once it's generated, you can keep refining it conversationally — ask it to add a schema type, remove one, change a value, or switch schema types entirely.
💡 Schema is set page by page. If you want the same structured data on another page, you'll need to generate or copy it there separately.
Removing schema you no longer need
If a schema becomes outdated or was set up incorrectly, you can remove it without rebuilding the page.
In the schema editor's Form View, use the three-dot menu next to a schema and select Delete.
Or switch to JSON View and remove the schema code directly, then Validate and Save.
Or simply ask AI — for example, "remove the Organization schema from this page."
⚠️ Schema deletion can't be undone directly, but if you remove something by mistake, you can restore it through the page's version history.
