A Complete Setup Guide for Alvéya

Social Planner helps you plan, schedule, and publish content from one place, without juggling multiple tabs or tools. It's designed to support consistent marketing, reduce last-minute posting, and keep your content organised across platforms.

This Playbook walks you through the essential setup so you can start scheduling confidently.

What You'll Complete in This Guide

  1. Connect Your Social Accounts

  2. Set Up Your Posting Workspace

  3. Create Your First Post

  4. Schedule Content

  5. Review the Calendar and Manage Approvals

  6. Track Performance (Optional)

Before You Begin

  • You have login access to the social accounts you want to connect

  • You know which platforms you want to schedule to

  • Your brand assets are saved in Media Storage (logos, images, templates)

What platforms can you connect to? Instagram, Facebook, Google Business Profile (GBP), Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky, and YouTube.

Step 1 – Connect Your Social Accounts

Go to Marketing → Social Planner. Select each of the social media platforms you want to connect and log in to each. Typical options include: Facebook Page, Instagram (professional account), LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile.

During connection, ensure you approve the required permissions so Alvéya can publish posts on your behalf.

Step 2 – Set Up Your Posting Workspace

Once you have connected at least one account, the option to select settings will show. See the Customise Your Social Planner Settings article for the full walkthrough.

Step 3 – Create Your First Post

Inside Social Planner, click Create Post. Add:

  • Caption text

  • Image or video (if needed)

  • Links (if applicable)

  • The channel(s) you want to publish to

If you are posting to multiple platforms at once, adjust your caption to suit the most strict platform formatting.

Tips that keep posting smooth:

  • Keep your first line strong (hook)

  • Use short paragraphs for readability

  • Avoid overly long hashtags on platforms where they reduce clarity

Step 4 – Schedule Content

Choose a publishing option: Post Now, Schedule, or Save as Draft (recommended when batching content).

When scheduling:

  • Select date and time

  • Confirm timezone

  • Double-check you selected the correct channels

If your content relies on a specific campaign, schedule it after any funnel, landing page, or email campaign is live.

Step 5 – Review the Calendar and Manage Approvals

Use the Calendar view to see your posting plan at a glance. From here you can:

  • Move posts to a different day/time

  • Edit captions

  • Replace media

  • Duplicate posts (useful for repeating formats)

  • Approve or publish (if approvals are enabled)

If you batch-create content, the calendar becomes your single source of truth for what's going out and when.

Step 6 – Track Performance (Optional)

Depending on your connected channels and plan level, you may have access to basic performance metrics such as engagement, clicks, and reach.

Use performance insights to identify which topics resonate, refine posting times, and improve caption structure and calls to action. Keep this simple — the goal is consistency first, optimisation second.
