What a URL slug is
The slug is the part of your web address that comes after your domain — for example, in yourclinic.com/back-pain-treatment, "back-pain-treatment" is the slug. It tells both Google and your visitors what the page is about before they've even clicked.
A clean, descriptive slug is one of the simplest SEO wins available, and it's entirely within your control in Alvéya.
What makes a good slug
Short and readable — a few words is plenty.
Made up of the actual words a client would search for, like "back-pain-treatment" rather than "page-2" or "services-final-v3."
Lowercase, with words separated by hyphens (not underscores or spaces).
Free of dates, version numbers, or anything that will go stale.
💡 Set your slug when you first create a page. Changing it later can break links you've already shared, so it's worth getting right from the start.
Setting your page slug in Alvéya

Open the page in the Website or Funnel Builder.
Open the page settings (usually available from the page menu or the SEO Meta Data tab).
Update the URL / slug field with a short, descriptive version.
Save your changes and publish the page.
⚠️ If you do need to change a slug on a page that's already live and indexed, be aware the old link will stop working. Consider whether the page has been shared anywhere — in emails, on social media, or linked from other pages — before you change it.
