This guide outlines the steps to set up domains and URL redirects in Alvéya for your client portal and funnels — giving each one its own clean, branded subdomain.
Set Up Your Client Portal Domain
1. Access Domains and URL Redirects
Navigate to the Domains and URL Redirects section in Alvéya.
Confirm which subdomains you already have set up.
2. Set Up the Client Portal Domain
Click on Connect Domain.
Enter your client portal subdomain — most practitioners use the word "portal" (e.g. portal.yourdomain.com).
3. Add the Domain Record
Click on Add Domain and then Add Record.
Choose CNAME as the record type.
Set the Host as your subdomain word and the Value as the client portal URL shown in Alvéya.
Copy the required value for the next step.
4. Configure Your DNS Settings
Go to your domain host's DNS settings.
Select CNAME and input your subdomain word as the Host.
Paste the copied value into the Value field and save.
5. Verify Domain Records
Return to Alvéya and click on Verify Records.
Wait approximately 30 seconds for verification.
6. Confirm Verification
Check for the Modify button — this indicates successful verification.
Set Up a Domain for Funnels
Go back to Settings, then Domains and URL Redirects, and click Connect Domain for the funnel setup.
1. Add the Funnel Domain Record
Name the domain with your chosen subdomain (e.g. offers.yourdomain.com).
Click Add Record and choose CNAME.
Copy the subdomain value for your funnel and add it in your DNS settings, just as you did for the portal.
2. Verify Funnel Domain Records
Return to Alvéya and click on Verify Records to confirm the funnel domain.
Additional Options
If needed, you can add domains for stores or websites later.
If a 404 page is not set up yet, you can return and select it later.
You can set up multiple subdomains for different funnels.
Cautionary Notes
Ensure that the subdomain names are unique and not already in use.
Double-check the CNAME values to avoid misconfiguration.
