Create the quiz in Alvéya

How to build your category-scoring quiz using our Alvéya quiz templates. A great way to build your email list, pre qualify your patients or educate them on health conditions.

  1. Plan your categories first. Before opening the quiz builder, write out your result categories and draft questions in a separate doc — it makes the build much faster.

  2. Set up your categories. Go to Manage Categories → Add Category, and create one for each result type (e.g. Estrogen Dominance, HPA Axis, Thyroid). Save as you go.

  3. Add your questions. Use Single Choice questions only, since each person needs to land in one specific category. Drag the element into the builder and enter your question text with three answer options.

  4. Assign each answer to a category. Open the question settings and map each answer to a category, giving it a score of 1. Repeat for every question.

  5. Use 10 questions, not 9. This avoids a tie where every category scores equally — the extra question always tips the result one way.

  6. Set every question to required. This keeps the result accurate by preventing anyone from skipping through.

  7. Add a name and email capture step. This can sit at the start or just before the results are shown. Include first name, last name, and email fields, all required, with a short prompt above them.

  8. Check the mobile view. Most people will take the quiz on their phone, so confirm everything looks right there.

  9. Set up your result notification and email. Turn on a submission alert, and handle the automated response through a workflow rather than the quiz's built-in autoresponder for more control.

  10. Customise the results page. Hide the overall score display and instead highlight the top-scoring category. Update the header to reflect the result (e.g. "Here's your most dominant hormone pattern").

  11. Write custom copy for low, medium, and high scores in each category — this personalised messaging is what makes the result feel tailored.

  12. Set score display to percentage, not a raw number, for the cleanest comparison.

  13. Style the results page — background, category colours, section backgrounds, and width (600px default, adjustable).

  14. Add your call to action at the bottom of the results page — this is where you invite them to book, join, or download.

  15. Share your quiz. Embed it on a funnel or website page, or copy the direct link to share anywhere.
