How drip feed timing works
Drip feed controls when your members get access to new content. It's a great way to release material gradually rather than all at once, keeping members engaged over time.
Drip feed works at the module level, not the lesson level. You can set a module to release after a set number of days, after a set number of hours, or on a specific date — but individual lessons inside a module can't be dripped separately. If you want finer control than that, the workaround is to structure each lesson as its own module.
The "# of Days" option
If you use the "# of Days" setting, content is released at 12:00pm (midday) UTC once the set number of days has passed since a member joined. This time is fixed and can't be changed to your local time zone.
Because of this, the release will land at a different local time depending on where you are. For example, if you're in Auckland, 12:00pm UTC is around midnight your time.
Example: someone signs up at 7:00pm Auckland time on a Tuesday, and the next module is set to release after 7 days. That module will actually open around midnight Auckland time on the following Tuesday.
This same principle applies to your very first cohort too. If you released Module 1 on a Monday at 9:00am your time, and Module 2 was set to release 7 days later, it will actually open at midnight the following Monday, going into Tuesday — not first thing Monday morning as you might expect. If content isn't appearing when you expect it to, this UTC offset is almost always the reason.

Want an exact 7-day release?
If you want a module to release at exactly 7 days (168 hours) after signup rather than being tied to the fixed midday UTC checkpoint, switch to the "Hours" option and enter 168 hours instead of using "Days."
Keep in mind there's a small trade-off: when you use the "Days" option, locked modules simply show "Coming soon" to members. When you use the "Hours" option, locked modules instead show a live countdown of the exact number of hours remaining until release.
Testing your drip schedule
Before launching to real members, it's worth testing your drip settings so you can see exactly when and how content unlocks. To do this:
Duplicate the course you want to test.
Set each module to release 1 day apart in the duplicated course.
Enroll using a test email address.
Watch each module release over the following days to confirm nothing is showing earlier or later than expected.
