If you've built separate Smart Lists and want to consolidate them, there are two ways to go about it. Choose the approach that suits how you prefer to work.
Option 1 — Delete the Smart Lists and Use Tags Instead
If you don't need to keep the lists themselves, the simplest approach is to delete them and target your contacts by tags when sending a campaign. When you're ready to send, just select the relevant tags as your audience instead of a list.
💡 This is often the cleaner long-term approach — tags are more flexible and can be combined in different ways for different campaigns.
Option 2 — Merge the Lists and Keep Them
If you'd prefer to keep your contacts in a list, you can merge your Smart Lists by updating one list to include the filters from another. Here's how:
Open one of the Smart Lists you want to merge into — for example, your 5-star list.
Go to the advanced search filter for that list.
Add the filter conditions from the list you want to merge in — for example, include the 4-star tags.
Click Apply.
Alvéya will prompt you to either save the updated filter setup or create a new list. Choose Save.
Once the merged list is saved and confirmed, you can delete the old 4-star list.
⚠️ Double-check that the merged list is showing the correct contacts before deleting the old one — just to make sure no contacts have been missed.
